At the beginning of April, summer seems to have arrived in the south of China. Dr. Wendy Shimelman, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Ms. Linda Visner were present in today’s English corner.
Linda talked about family education. She has a cute son, who now is learning both Chinese and English. Her son is keen on golf. However, Linda is not fond of it. So, she decided to let her husband play golf with her son. Linda said that Chinese parents sometimes maybe ignored their children’s thought, but they still love their children.
When chatting with the students, Christopher mentioned some talented people, who should also work hard. Otherwise, they would lose their chance. And he also told an interesting thing, every time when he came back to his hometown, his friends always asked him whether he could play Kong Fu or not. When he said no, they would feel unimaginable, ‘But, you know, not every Chinese can play Kong Wendy is a linguist; she likes yoga, and also has doctor''s degree. She talked with students about The Paddington Bear, facebook and twitter. She also shared some overseas information with some students who planned to go abroad.
In the English Conner, everyone would like to listen and talk to you. The Corner provides a stage for every English learner to make friends and improve Oral English.
