At 7 p.m. on April 10th , Mr. Michael Hughes, the overseas teacher of the School of Foreign Languages, held a lecture entitledUniversity Life in the Western Worldin Lize C108. More than 110 students of different schools attended the lecture.
Mr. Michael Hughes started his lecture with presenting information about some cities in U.S.A and local famous universities. He briefly analyzed the importance of small town education and compared the differences between Western and Chinese universities. Secondly, Mr. Michael Hughes introduced some student organizations in Western universities, including clubs, fraternities and sororities. At last, he covered the driving culture, the school sports teams and student support centers in U.S.A.
The lecture greatly impressed the students who were interested in the university life in the western world.
