On the evening of March 28th, Mr. Christopher Dockstader held the fourth Movie Night of this semester with some filmgoers in Liyun A107. Overseas teachers Mr. Gerard Brent and Mr. Stephen Keen attended the activity as well. That night, movie Rush Hour II was shown to the audience.
Before the movie was on, Mr. Christopher Dockstader and students had a casual chat and shared snacks with each other. Now and then Christopher said some basic Chinese, which surprised students a lot.
Rush Hour II started with the chief inspector Lee’s talk to the detective James Carter, who was invited to spend his holiday in Hong Kong. However, an explosion at the United States Consulate which caused the deaths of two American detectives ruined their plans. Obviously, Carter didn’t appreciate being dragged along like that, but he still followed Lee from Hong Kong to Los Angeles and then to Las Vegas, and attempted to track down Ricky Tan, who may be responsible for a counterfeiting case. It’s absolutely a great comedy about two partners whose working style was totally different.
The movie lasting for 90 minutes ended with a burst of laughter and applause. And all the teachers and students went home after saying good night to each other.
