11月1日，九游会平台12级英语专业英法双语班的李树萌、孔令彤两名同学，代表九游会平台参加在广州中山大学举办的“外研社”杯英语写作比赛并取得优秀成绩⛑，分别获得广东赛区一等奖和三等奖👂🏽。此外👩🏻🦱🧑🏻🤝🧑🏻，李树萌🦎🚒、孔令彤双双入围2014广东省本科高校英语写作大赛决赛👩🏻💼，且分别取得特等奖、三等奖🥷🏿，李树萌将代表广东省参加12月份在北京举行的写作决赛。
“外研社”杯英语写作比赛是外语教学与研究出版社联合教育部高等学校英语教学分指导委员会主办🤍、面向英语专业学生举办的公益赛事。本次比赛云集广东各大名校英语专业高手，包括来自中山大学、广东外语外贸大学的200多位选手，云集一堂。比赛要求在规定时限内，写出2000字左右的几篇英语文章，对于平时练笔的200词英语作文而言，2000词确实难度不小。对此，李树萌表示，在分秒必争的赛场上，她只顾埋头写字，等到交卷的那一刻，自己恰好完成文章，心里顿时轻松许多。“终于可以抬起头来看看时间了。”孔令彤则体会到👩🏻🎤，参加此次比赛，赛前有必要做足“功课”，一为查漏补缺🗣，二为增添自信🦈。赛前，除了阅读老师推荐的《美国大学英语写作》一书🤳，她还重点了解一些专四、专八、雅思作文写作特点，“我认为比赛🙅♀️，不仅是知识储备的比拼，更是心理素质的竞技。为了防止情绪紧张，赛前做到胸有成竹是很有必要的。”
本次写作比赛为展现我院英语专业学生的风采提供了良好的机会，也是对我校英语专业教学的教学成果的积极肯定🧓🏿。
An Interview with the Prize-winners
of 2014th FLTRP Cup National English Composition Competition
Li Shumeng and Kong Lingtong, junior students of English major in English-French class won the First Prize and the Third respectively in the 2014th FLTRP Cup National English Composition Competition in Guangdong Province. Both of them also outstood in the Guangdong Provincial English Writing Competition, winning the Special Prize and the Third Prize. With the other 2 candidates from other universities, Li Shumeng, on behalf of the undergraduate students in Guangdong, will take the final-round competition in Beijing next month.
FLTRP Cup National English Composition Competition was non-profit competition, jointly held by the Foreign Language Teaching & Research Press and ELT Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, with all undergraduates in English majors as target competitors. Students from top-class universities such as Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies are all found there. The competition agreed to write some essays around 2000 words within the required time. As for junior students, it was really a tough task. Li Shumeng said that she didn’t dare to look up for time and deepened herself into compositions. The bell rang simultaneously when she laid down the pen. Kong Lingtong recommended that with all the task done, they began to review English writing structures, and surveyed the books on IELTS, TEM-4 and 8 in writing. She thought it was important to prepare for the competition before it was too late. “Competitions involve psychological qualities and knowledge.” Kong Lingtong said, “In order to have confidence, preparations are necessary.”
The 2014th FLTRP Cup National English Composition Competition offers the students chances of practicing writing and is regarded as a positive recognition of the English major teaching in BNUZ.
