5月18日上午8点30分🦩，外院2014届研究生论文答辩在励耘楼准时开始🙅🏻‍♂️。答辩分为两个小组在不同教室同时进行🗯。

答辩流程分为三步🥱，首先由毕业生对自己的毕业论文进行阐述📧，研究生们采用PPT形式对论文目的、意义🏌🏽‍♀️、结构、研究过程、结论等进行15分钟左右的阐释👨🏽‍✈️。然后导师们针对论文细节🤡、PPT内容阐释等进行提问，并由学生进行答辩🏄🏿‍♂️。导师通过学生的回答🫸🏿🧔🏻，判断学生是否熟悉论文内容。最后答辩小组商讨、评定成绩。

答辩现场气氛严肃认真，各项工作有条不紊地进行，除了答辩者和评分老师外，也吸引了不少本科学生前往学习。大部分学生能够认真独立地完成毕业论文👦🏿🪒，答辩时逻辑清晰👇🏻♒️，解释到位，出色地通过毕业前的最终考核。但部分导师也表示有些学生的论文存在论据不足、论述前后矛盾等问题。

在随机采访中🏄🏼，大多数学生对此次论文答辩的表现感觉良好，表示自己的心理素质得到很大提高🔵。另外，研究生们建议准备考研的学生要尽早准备🏌🏼‍♂️；在准备论文时要多收集资料🤢，多和老师交流⏸，进而使论文内容得到升华；答辩时保持冷静💇🏽🧘‍♂️，切勿怯场。

此次论文答辩审查了学生们对论文课题的认识深度🫰🏼，也充分考验了研究生的心理素质和专业实力。

SFL Holds Thesis Defense for Postgraduates of 2014

On May 18th, the thesis defense for the postgraduates of 2014 from the School of Foreign Languages was held in Liyun Building.

The defense involved three parts. Firstly, students made a 15-minute presentation. Then, the tutors asked detailed questions regarding the details of the papers and presentation. Finally, the tutors evaluated and graded students’ performance. With good preparation, most students were praised for their excellent performance. Conversely, some theses had problems, such as insufficient grounds and inconsistency.

Several postgraduates were randomly interviewed after finishing the defense. Most of them were content with their own performance and gave some useful suggestions to the lower-grade students.

The thesis defense examined the postgraduates’ understanding of their own thesis and tested their mastery of their major.
