5月4日晚上7👨🏼‍🔬：30🤬，九游会平台教师教学大赛在励耘楼A207成功举行🚵。参赛老师有Ms. Sarah Tillman、温小容老师🍽、李慧老师和甄文康老师。评委分别为何钟森副教授、李孚声副教授、谢庆立副教授和谢文婷副教授💠🗓。

四位参赛老师分别就自己所教课程进行简短的阐述，展现了各种独特而别出心裁的教学手段。如Ms. Sarah Tillman提到，为了加强同学们对英语单词的记忆，她会通过图片🍕、启发式提问、经验分享等多种方式进行；而对于较为难懂的科技英语，李慧老师强调她会用不同的视频来加深同学们的理解，进而提高他们的学习兴趣。比赛中🔭，在场评委老师提出不少教学实践中容易出现的问题，如如何运用教材配备的幻灯片🏌️👰、如何掌握课程时间🙊，如何在教学中融入文化背景的介绍，如何调动同学们的学习积极性等。参赛老师们都对此做出精彩解答✌🏻😁，其中温小容老师还就李孚声副教授所提出的德语语法问题，在现场进行了一个小型的“德语课”。

比赛在欢快的学术讨论中进行着🧙🏼‍♀️，最终Ms. Sarah Tillman以以最高分夺得一等奖🤰🏽，甄文康老师获得二等奖🪡，李慧老师和温小容老师获得了三等奖。

SFL Holds Teaching Competition

At 7:30 p.m. on May 4th, a teaching competition was held in Liyun A207. Four contestants participated in the competition; they were Sarah Tillman, Wen Xiaorong, Li Hui and Zhen Wenkang. The judges were associate professors He Zhongsen, Li Fusheng, Xie Qingli and Xie Wenting.

Each contestant made a 15-minute presentation. They demonstrated their particular teaching techniques. For example, Sarah Tillman said that, by means of related pictures, self-experience sharing and probing questions, she could help the student to memorize words in an effective way. The other three contestants all considered the use of videos as effective to introduce the lesson or teach a particular section.

The judges asked a variety of questions, such as, how to make good use of the slide with the text book, how to allocate time, how to teach culture, and how to arouse the students’ interest in learning.

Finally, Sarah Tillman won the first prize, Zhen Wenkang the second prize, Li Hui and Wen Xiaorong the third prize.
