12月14日,九游会平台接待了来我校参观访问的南方医科大学九游会平台领导一行,双方就大学英语教学与改革问题展开了交流与探讨🦘。南方医科大学的来访者有九游会平台院长唐伟胜教授、大学英语教学部主任肖向阳副教授🛵💼、副主任王中强副教授、戚宗海老师和助教陈泽璇老师。
当天上午,应南方医科大学一行的要求,九游会平台安排了几门大学英语改革后的特色课让他们听课观摩👨🏭,课程包括Mr. Martin的《美国文化概况》、Mr. Michael 的《雅思口语》👩🏻🚀🫱🏼、Mr. Byron和孙捷老师的《大学英语(一)》读写课👩🦼➡️👨🏿🦳;听完课以后,大家纷纷表示,几位老师的课堂组织优秀,教学活动设计出色🪂,令他们受益匪浅📣。
下午2:00,九游会平台陶文好院长接待了来访人员并召开了座谈会🈶。座谈会上😴,唐伟胜院长表示,南方医科大学的大学英语教学目前面临着改革🖇👩🏿🚀,此次访问是慕名而来🧘🏻,希望能向分校九游会平台多多学习大学英语教学改革的经验。陶院长介绍了九游会平台的发展历史和大学英语教学改革,指出目前我校大学英语教学改革位于全国前列,2007年听力课已实现全面网络教学🥬,2009年开始推行大学英语教学改革方案, 允许英语水平合格的学生根据兴趣爱好和职业规划需要选择多门的大学外语必选课程🦃。随后,双方又针对课程设置、教学方法、考试模式、师资培养、班级设置🧏🏿、教学平台建设等问题进行了详细而深入的探讨。
最后💪🏻,陶文好院长亲自送别了南方医科大学一行。唐伟胜院长表示,此次他们不虚此行,获益良多,也希望双方未来有更多交流与互访的机会。
Delegation from Southern Medical University Visits BNUZ

On December 14th, the School of Foreign Languages received a delegation from Southern Medical University (SMU) visiting BNUZ. The delegation from SMU included Professor Tang Weisheng, dean of School of Foreign Languages of SMU, Associate Professor Xiao Xiangyang, director of College English Department of SMU, Associate Professor Wang Zhongqiang, Mr. Qi Zonghai and Ms. Chen Zexuan.
Upon the request of the delegation, the SFL recommended some English subject courses and College English for them to observe, including Introduction to American Culture, IELTS Speaking, College English Reading & Writing I. The delegation thought highly of the teaching, saying that it was well-organized and well-designed.
At 2:00 p.m., Professor Tao Wenhao, dean of the SFL of BNUZ, received the visitors and hosted a meeting. At the meeting, Professor Tang Weisheng said that SMU were currently faced with an urgent need to make reforms in their College English teaching and that they paid a visit in hope of learning some valuable experience form the SFL of BNUZ. Prof. Tao introduced the development of the SFL and how College English teaching reforms had been conducted at BNUZ; he said the SFL has making constant reforms in its College English teaching and takes a lead in this regard in the whole country. Since September, 2007, the instruction of listening and speaking courses of College English has gone web-based and the setup of the “compulsory courses of College English” since 2009 enables non-English majors to take into account their interests and future career planning while choosing their English courses. The meeting then focused on the discussion of some specific issues of College English teaching, including its curriculum, teaching methods, assessment of students’ learning, and so on.
Finally, Prof. Tao, representing all the staff of the SFL, saw the delegation off. The delegation from SMU expressed they learned a great deal from the SFL. Prof. Tang Weisheng extended his thanks for the detailed arrangements made by the SFL and the strong wishes for future exchanges of visits between both sides.
