9月22日晚7点，本学期九游会平台特色活动之电影之夜首场在丽泽楼C109成功举行。

由于上学期电影之夜活动备受师生欢迎并引起了强烈反响，本学期电影之夜活动将继续由外籍教师Mr. Tim Musgrave主持。本学期播放的首场电影是一部经典励志电影——《阿甘正传》。

这部影片以阿甘在车站与人诉说自己的故事开始🏃。从被困住双脚的束缚到挣开脚箍大步行走的自由，再到后来连续跑了三年多的执着与洒脱📟，其间他经历了各种酸甜苦辣，大至参加全美明星队🤐、越南战争🤽🏽‍♂️、乒乓外交🤸🏼‍♂️，小至处理与青梅竹马珍妮的情感💇🏼‍♀️。阿甘的天真总让人禁不住笑出来，但在看到他在球队中的突出表现和在不停的奔跑的坚持时❤️，同学们发出一阵阵的惊叹，甚至还有同学感动地掉眼泪了。

参与活动的同学说，在开学之初，这样一部振奋人心的励志电影可以激励自己继续奋斗，追逐自己的梦想♢。

BNUZ Movie Nights: Forrest Gump

The School of Foreign Languages held the first Movie Night of this semester in Room C109, Lize Building, at 7 p.m., 22nd September. Movie Nights, held by Mr. Tim Musgrave, started from last semester and received a warm response from the students, for which SFL decided to continue in this semester. The movie chosen for this week was a famous inspirational one, called Forrest Gump.

The movie began with Forrest Gump’s talk with people who were waiting for buses. He cherished the word his mother gave him, that is, “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.” Then he shared his stories about confronting difficulties in entering public school and being fortunate to go to college. With comparatively low IQ, though, he was featured of his sincerity, persistence, bravery and so on. He fulfilled his life by playing an important role in the All-America Team, the Vietnam War and other great jobs.

A student who took part in this Movie Night said that, at the beginning of the new semester this movie could encourage her to strive for her dream. Students were all deeply touched by his experience and his characteristics. Forrest Gump was considered as a must-watch movie for both English language learners and people who need encouragement and inspiration.
