3月初春的夜幕带着浅浅的寒意降临，而同学们参加英语角的热情温暖了空旷的图书馆。到场的外籍教师有Mr. Charlie Reis、Mr. Christopher Dockstader🏪、Ms. Amy Elizabeth Call和Ms. Bronagh Mooney。

在听到Ms. Amy Elizabeth Call在盐湖城有丰富的教学经历后，一位同学想要了解Amy 心中印象最深的学生💘。Amy立即回答道🦸🏼：“Amina，她叫Amina👀。”Amina是一位非常温柔的非洲女孩，因为是国际难民，她偶然去到美国。Amy第一次看到她的时候，也是Amina人生里第一次踏进教室🛣、第一次握笔😦、第一次开口说英语的时候。Amina比教室里其他同学年纪都要小💅，17岁，带着她的孩子来到了美国学习。有一次她两天没去上课😙，跟Ms. Amy解释的时候眼泪哗哗直流，因为突然难民局说要把她遣返，一旦被遣返了🕯，她就可能会失去性命。Amy认为🚴🏿，跟难民局一遍一遍地陈述自己的伤痛是残忍的事🧎‍♀️‍➡️。在Amina的世界里，学习机会格外宝贵，所以她非常勤奋🙍‍♀️，用了两年的时间就高中毕业去读大学。

Mr. Christopher Dockstader来到中国已是第十个年头，他与同学们分享大家不知道的珠海巨变。他说✤，最清晰的记忆便是当时珠海的公共汽车，车上的空调吹着热风还夹杂着浓烈的奇怪气味；现在的电能公交好多了。随后，他对环保做出了设想：在小范围内能不能用自行车代替动车呢🐶？人们都被宠坏了，街上太多车了，非常拥堵。荷兰便是欧洲著名的自行车王国🚍，空气新鲜，天蔚蓝。

结合老师们的深刻体会和自己的实际情况，同学们有没有获得对生活的其他看法呢？

English corner: Impressive memories

The early spring evening was a little chilly. Mr. Charlie Reis, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Ms. Amy Elizabeth Call and Ms. Bronagh Mooney were present in the English corner.

After knowing the rich teaching experiences of Ms. Amy Elizabeth Call in the Salt Lake City, a student asked Amy who was the most impressive student she had met. Without consideration, Amy said,“ Amina, her name is Amina!” Amina was such a gentle African girl and she went to America accidentally as an international refugee.The first time Amy saw Amina was also Amina''s first time to go to school. Facing many difficulties, 17-year-old Amina went to America to study and live, with her baby. Once she didn’t go to the class for 2 days. When she explained the reason to Ms. Amy, she cried and cried, saying the authority wanted her to go back to her country. Amy thought it was very cruel for her to tell her hard life to the authority repeatedly. Amina cherished the opportunity to study so much that she accomplished the high school in two years and eventually entered a university.

Mr. Christopher Dockstader has been in china for ten years, he shared Zhuhai’s great changes with the students, among which the buses impressed him most. He said the smelly and hot air on the old buses used to make him feel terrible, but now there are electric buses in the city. Then, he proposed that cars should be replaced by bikes in the small town. Now the street is too crowded. He gave an example that Holland was well known as “The Bicycle Country” in Europe. The air is fresh and the sky is extremely blue there.
